🌿 Short introduction: “Crushed Beneath You”
Some people enter our thoughts without permission and remain there long after we know they can never truly be ours. “Crushed Beneath You” explores that painful contradiction – the struggle between knowing someone is absent from our life and feeling their presence everywhere within us. Through images of tears, confinement, searching and surrender, the poem “Crushed Beneath You” journeys into the depths of an attachment that reason cannot explain.
তোমারই রঙের ছোঁয়া!
ভাবনার সুগভীর অতলে,
কেবলই তোমারই রঙের ছোঁয়া!
কিছু ভাবতে গেলেই আর কিছু নয়,
দিব্যি তুমিই এসে নীরবে –
সব তছনছ করে দিয়ে যাও!
বুকের ভেতরটায় সব এলোমেলো করে,
লোনা জলের ঝিলিক দিয়ে রাঙিয়ে –
জানি না তুমি কিসের সুধা পাও!
Your Colours in My Thoughts
In the deepest depths of my thoughts,
There is only the touch of your colours.
Whenever I try to think of anything else,
There you quietly arrive –
And leave everything scattered in your wake.
You turn the chambers of my heart upside down,
Painting them with flashes of salty tears;
I don’t know what kind of nectar
You find in doing this to me.
কেন তোমার ভাবনায় ডুবে অহর্নিশি
আচ্ছা তুমিই বলো, এটা কিছু হলো?
যে তুমি আমার নও কখনোই,
তারই ভাবনায় কেন আমার চেতনা,
ডুবে থাকবে অহর্নিশি?
যে তোমার পৃথিবীতে আমি কিছু নই,
সেই তোমাতেই কেন আমি রইবো মিশি?
কিছুতেই কিছু বুঝে পাই না আমি!
Why Do I Still Think of You?
Tell me yourself – does any of this make sense?
You, who have never truly been mine,
Why then does my consciousness
Remain submerged in thoughts of you,
Day after endless day?
In your world, I am nothing –
Then why is it that in you
I remain so deeply dissolved?
I understand none of this.
Nothing makes sense to me.

And yet, across my entire existence,
There is only you.
Inside the conch-blue prison,
Within a condemned cell,
With every breath I take and release,
It is you whom I find.
তন্নতন্ন করে খুঁজেও
অথচ অনিরুদ্ধ এই জীবন খেলা মাঝে,
তন্নতন্ন করে খুঁজেও,
জীবন খেয়াতে দেখি তুমি নেই!
Searching Through Life
I search through every hidden corner,
Through every passage life has left behind,
Hoping somehow to find you.
But you remain beyond my reach,
Even while occupying every thought.
পারি না ছেড়ে থাকতে তোমায়!
কিছুতেই পারি না ছেড়ে থাকতে তোমায়!
আমার সমস্তটা জুড়ে রাত্রি দিন তবুও,
নিবিড় আচ্ছন্নতায় জড়িয়ে থাকো আমায়!
I Cannot Let You Go
I simply cannot live without you.
Day and night,
Across every part of me,
You remain wrapped around my being
In an intimate, haunting trance.

I cannot free myself from you – nor can I understand, why someone who is not mine has become so completely a part of me. And so, even in your absence, You remain – Deeply entwined with all that I am.
