“A Letter to the One I Understand”

কেমন আছো তুমি?
প্রিয় বলে সম্বোধনে কিছু মনে করো না যেন!
তুমি তো আমার প্রিয়ই, তাই না?
মস্তিষ্কের নিউরনে আর হৃদয়ের গহীনে –
পৃথিবী পরিমাণ বোঝা বয়ে নিয়ে একাকী চলছো;
আর কেউ না বুঝুক, আমি ঠিক বুঝতে পারি।
আমি তো জানি, তোমার সবটাই।
Translation to English
My beloved,
How are you?
I hope you won’t mind my calling you beloved.
You are my beloved, after all—aren’t you?
Within the neurons of your mind,
and deep within the chambers of your heart,
you walk alone, carrying
a burden as vast as the world.
Let no one else understand you—
I understand you.
I know you,
all of you.
“Bound by an Invisible Bond.”
হৃৎপিণ্ডের প্রতিটি স্পন্দনে সদাই –
তোমার জন্য নিতি অফুরন্ত দোয়া আমি চাই।
সুবিশাল এই জগতের সুবিস্তৃত ধরণী ‘পরে,
অপরিসীম বন্ধনের যে মায়াজালে –
মন্ত্রমুগ্ধের মতো আমায় জড়িয়ে রেখেছো,
আমি চির কৃতজ্ঞ তার কাছে এবং তোমার কাছে।

With every beat of my heart,
I offer endless prayers for you,
day after day, without end.
Upon this vast and wondrous earth,
within the enchanted web of an immeasurable bond
that has wrapped itself around me
as though under a spell,
I remain forever grateful—
to that mysterious bond,
and to you.
“The Strength You Give Me”
আজ হঠাৎ করেই, অজানা কারণেই,
তোমাকে খুব লিখতে মন চাইলো, তাই ভাবলাম –
দেরী কেন! তাই তো লিখছি।
প্রিয়, তুমি জানোই তো –
পার্থিবতার শৃঙ্খলে ভীষণ তড়পাচ্ছে এই প্রাণ!
রাত্রিদিনের বিভীষিকা মাঝে, কখনো বা
নিজেও বুঝি না –
কেমন করে তার করুণা অফুরান!
এরই মাঝে, তোমার একটুখানি কথা
আর সংস্পর্শের অবিরাম ধারাতে –
আমি যে কতোটা শক্তি পাই, সাহস পাই,
সেটাও তো,
তোমার চাইতে আর কে বা বেশী বুঝে বলো!
Translation to English
Today, all of a sudden, for reasons unknown,
I felt an overwhelming urge to write to you.
And I thought—
why delay? So here I am, writing.
My beloved, you already know—
this soul is struggling terribly
within the chains of worldly existence.
Amid the terrors of day and night,
there are times when even I cannot understand
how its mercy can remain so boundless.
And amidst it all,
a few words from you,
and the unbroken stream of your presence—
give me such strength,
such courage…
Who could understand that better than you?
“Can a Lifetime Measure Knowing?”
না হয় অল্প ক’দিনের চেনাজানা!
আচ্ছা তুমিই বলো, চেনাজানার জন্য কি –
পুরো এক জীবনের প্রয়োজন আছে?
কয়েক মুহুর্তই যথেষ্ট নয় কি?
আমাকে কি এই ক’দিনে,
আমার চেয়েও বেশী বুঝতে পারোনি তুমি?
আমার চেয়ে ভালো –
তোমাকে কি আর কেউ বুঝতে পেরেছে বলো?
Translation to English
Perhaps we have known each other
for only a handful of days.
But tell me,
does it truly take an entire lifetime
to know another soul?
Are not a few fleeting moments
sometimes enough?
In these few days,
have you not understood me
more deeply than I have understood myself?

“The Pull That Both Enchants and Burns”
জানো প্রিয়, জীবনের অবেলায় প্রাণের এই টান –
অনিমেষ মুগ্ধতায় ভরিয়ে রাখে আমাকে,
প্রতিটি মুহুর্ত, প্রতিটি ক্ষণ!
তোমার মাঝে যে কী ভীষণ টেনে ধরার শক্তি;
পাশাপাশি তুমি যে প্রচন্ড দাবদাহে,
পুড়িয়ে দেবারও শক্তি রাখো – তুমি তা জানো।

You know, my beloved,
this pull of the soul, arriving at life’s untimely hour,
fills me with an unwavering wonder—
every moment, every fleeting instant.
There is such an extraordinary power in you
to draw me toward you;
and yet, at the same time,
you possess the fierce heat of a scorching sun—
the power to burn me to ashes.

প্রিয়, আমাকে দূরে ঠেলে দিও না যেন!
দোহাই তোমার,
